Suzette Weakley (aka STELLA)
is a native of Bloomington Indiana. Her musical
interests began early, having performed with her
mother’s band ‘The Originals’ as a child.
Stella & her sister were known as ‘The Stewart Sisters’ and played as warm up act for various musicians such as Johnny Cash at State fairs throughout the Midwest. “We were paid in tickets for the rides and thought it was the best!”
Later, Stella performed with virtuoso musician Jeff Foster as a duo and they too enjoyed meeting and performing before national talent including John Hartford, Taj Mahal, John Prine & Pat Benetar as they toured through our area. Later Stella performed with local favorite Rock bands, and has recently joined forces with Jane to create ‘Stella & Jane’.
Stella plays keyboard, guitar and mandolin, and specializes in back up vocals and music arrangement. She also sings lead when necessary!

Bobbie Lancaster (aka JANE)
was obnoxiously performing for her family at the
age of 2 1/2. Since then, she has not only grown up
(a little bit), but she's pursued her musical
ambitions by becoming a blues vocalist, songwriter,
and a budding mandolin player.
She has opened for late blues legend Sam Myers and his band "Anson Funderburg and the Rockets" several times, and has made a name for herself as a blues vocalist. BLUES REVIEW magazine, February 2005, says that "Lancaster (that's her) belts it out with Personality and Power." She was named #1 FEMALE VOCALIST, and #1 SOLO ENTERTAINER by THE INDIANA DAILY STUDENT in 2003 and 2004. You can listen to her Blues CD at www.cdbaby.com/codebluemusic
In addition to being a songwriter & vocalist, Bobbie annually emcees the Bean Blossom Blues Festival. Bobbie switched gears musically when she began writing music and playing with STELLA & JANE. Through her songwriting, she found an appreciation for a softer side of singing, and found that bluegrass & folk music were part of her soul as well. She is happily married to her husband Jeff & has recently added "mommy" to her credits.

pursuing the art of guitar playing. Well-schooled
and adept at classical, flamenco, jazz, country,
rock, blues and other genres, Jeff is a performer,
composer, teacher, writer and webmaster based in
Bloomington, Indiana. With Stella & Jane, Jeff
plays acoustic, classic and electric guitars,
guitar synth, bass and 5-string banjo... and
against his better judgement, even sings
occasionally!
